This atlas includes 500-700 "step-by-step" highest quality color photographs of all current laparoscopic and robotic urological procedures, complemented by technical details and caveats. Each procedure is also presented in video format in an accompanying DVD containing edited videos of each laparoscopic procedure described in the book. The atlas covers considerable recent advances in laparoscopic and robotic urology. Each technical step is covered by multiple sequential color photographs which are accompanied by a detailed figure legends describing nuances, subtleties, and pearls from the author’s extensive personal experience in over 3000 laparoscopic/robotic cases. Explanatory color line drawings provide additional clarity. Minimal stand-alone text is presented. Where appropriate, vital data is shown to make specific points. The intention is to give the reader the impression of actually being present in the operative room, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the surgeon.

Gill is Vice Chairman, Professor of Surgery, Head, Section of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgery, and Director, Center for Advanced Study at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Glickman Urological Institute, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He is one of the best-known and skilled specialists in urologic laparoscopy and has published extensively on the topic. His expertise will allow other urologists and residents to learn skills usually only taught in the operating rooms.
