Description
Schuknecht’s Pathology of the Ear emphasizes clinical history and laboratory findings including audiological and vestibular testing for the purposes of clinico-pathologic correlation.
The third edition of Harold F. Schuknecht’s Pathology of the Ear has been reorganized and consists of four sections, including : (I.) “Anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the ear;” (II.) “Disease processes of the ear;” and (IV.) “Histopathology following surgical treatment.” An entirely new section (III) has been developed, entitled “Patterns of degeneration of the ear with multiple etiologies” which hopefully will serve as a helpful guide to the reader to recognize that multiple etiologies may result in a similar histopathologic phenotype.
Where possible, new full color digital images of histopathology have been created and images have been labeled with a scheme that employs green for normal structures and red to depict abnormalities.
