Description
Nursing Theories: A Framework for Professional Practice presents a fascinating look at the work of select nurse theorists and popular nursing theories, teaching readers to both understand and apply theories in nursing practice. Broken into five, comprehensive sections the text opens with a general overview of nursing theory and application before providing a more in-depth analysis of the major and middle range theories of nursing. Examples from the literature and case studies illustrate how to apply theory to practice, including the Environmental Model, Theory of Transpersonal Caring, Behavioral System Model, Roy Adaptation Model, Theory of Interpersonal Relations, Theory of Human Becoming, Nursing Process Theory, Self-Transcendence Theory, and much more.
Fully Integrated with Dynamic Technology Solutions!
Perfect for nursing students and practicing nurses, Nursing Theories is the cornerstone of a complete teaching and learning system. Authoritative content from the text has been supplemented with a host of online resources that expose readers to theories in a manner that is uncomplicated and practical; while in-text chapter features, such as: chapter objectives, key terms, case studies, chapter summaries, critical thinking questions, and pull quotes, demonstrate how each theory is applied in practice.
