ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Candace L. Goldsworthy, Professor of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Sacramento, received her doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Dr. Goldsworthy is co-director of the Sacramento Scottish Rite Clinic for Childhood Language Disorders and is a partner in the private practice of Speech-Language-Learning Associates. She served as Vice-Chair of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at CSUS for ten years. A frequently requested professional speaker, Dr. Goldsworthy presents workshops on child language and literacy throughout the United States. Dr. Goldsworthy has received numerous professional awards, including Fellow of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Outstanding Teaching Award for the College of Health and Human Services at California State University-Sacramento in 2001. She was also honored as Outstanding Alumna at California State University, Los Angeles in 2003, and received the first ever Distinguished Achievement award by the California Speech-Language Hearing Association in 2009.
