Description

About the author
Sheila C. Vir is currently a senior nutrition consultant and Director, Public Health Nutrition and Development Centre, New Delhi. She is a postgraduate in Food and Nutrition from University of Delhi, India and, PhD from Queen’s University, Belfast, UK. Dr Vir, a recipient of the Common Wealth Van den Bergh Nutrition Award and secretary to the Nutrition Society of India, has worked as a programme officer with UNICEF (India) for about 20 years. Presently, she is also working as a Senior Nutrition Expert with the Government of India and various government-supported technical training and teaching institutes.
