Peter V. Paul, PhD - Professor, School of Teaching and Learning, Ohio State University
Peter V. Paul, Ph.D., is a Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education & Human Ecology at The Ohio State University. He also holds an Adjunct Professorship in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science. One of his major responsibilities is teacher education for individuals interested in the education of deaf and hard of hearing students. Dr. Paul's research interests involve the areas of vocabulary, reading, and literate thought, and he has published extensively on individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing. Dr. Paul has also conducted workshops for educators and parents on an international, national, state, and local level. He has a bilateral, profound hearing impairment and is the father of a son, Pete (born July 20, 1990), who has Down syndrome and autism.
