Hace más de 40 años que inicié la aventura y el trabajo de El vendaje funcional, que llega ahora a su 7.a edición, sin olvidar las reimpresiones.
El vendaje funcional es una técnica de fisioterapia que aún sigue y seguirá en vigor, porque es un trabajo manual e individualizado que se ajusta, en cada ocasión, a las necesidades del paciente y del deportista; además, es aplicable tanto con intención terapéutica como de manera preventiva. Su construcción ha ido variando en función de los nuevos materiales: cada vez les hemos podido conferir una mayor comodidad, pero sin perder nunca su funcionalidad; lo que nunca ha variado es su técnica de aplicación.
He tenido la inmensa suerte de que todas las ediciones anteriores me las han prologado grandes personas y amigos: a todos ellos les doy las gracias por su generosidad.
Posiblemente esta sea mi última edición, ya los años se van sumando. Por lo tanto, solo les puedo decir que disfruten aplicando estas técnicas, siempre de forma personal, individualizada y en función de las necesidades de la persona a la que van dirigidas: hay que tener claro en todo momento cuál es el diagnóstico, a quién va dirigido el vendaje y para qué lo necesita.
