The Video Atlas of Shoulder Surgery is the most comprehensive and authoritative
collection of video and written text about shoulder procedures currently available
in one volume, authored by orthopedic surgeons internationally recognised as
experts in the field of shoulder surgery. The editor in chief, Peter D McCann,
is the chief editor of the American Journal of Orthopedics.
Organized into nine sections, the atlas begins with an introduction to general set up, followed by surgical procedures for different shoulder conditions – arthroscopic and open instability and rotator cuff, biceps tendon, glenohumeral arthritis, fractures and miscellaneous conditions.
It is one of the most expansive publications in the field of shoulder surgery, both in breadth and depth of topics covered and consists of many unique features, including 14 chapters devoted to various aspects of treating rotator cuff pathology and 10 chapters describing multiple techniques in the surgical management of shoulder fractures.
Each chapter consists of two parts: a video by an expert in the field demonstrating the key steps of each procedure, accompanied by a brief text organized in a unique format of five pointsthat briefly highlight the key aspects of management of the condition, both operative and non-operative. The combination of both video and concise text will enhance the surgeon’s opportunity to master treatment of each condition described.
This Video Atlas of Shoulder Surgery offers a unique source for easy access to both video and essential written summaries of the many techniques used to manage the full array of pathology that may be encountered by the orthopedic surgeon in training, community practice, or a specialty practice in the field of shoulder surgery.
