There are many different causes of the disease, e.g. other diseases, alcoholism, high blood pressure, viral infections; therefore many different kinds of cardiomyopathies exist, belonging to five main types of CM: Dilated CM, Hypertrophic CM, Restrictive CM, Right Ventricular CM, Nonclassifiable CM.
